There are three categories of locations to park your rig. 1.) Private Campgrounds and RV Resorts. 2.) Sierra National Forest Campgrounds that can accommodate RVs. 3.) Yosemite National Park Campgrounds that can accommodate RVs.
The Lakes RV and Golf Resort in Chowchilla offers a variety of amenities and is conveniently located in the center of California off Highway 99. Ask about the complimentary golfing for two people per site, per night. With 87 RV spaces including 18 pull-thru and 19 lakeside.
The campground encompasses more than 35 acres of Oak trees, and Manzanita trees with a large pool, horseshoe pits, and a playground for the kids. Enjoy camping among the beautiful rolling hills and the tranquil environment under the stars. Don’t have an RV or tent? No problem! They have great Camping Cabins and Yurts available, too.
A short drive from spectacular Yosemite, the RV Park and Campground sits directly on the banks of the seasonal Fresno River in Oakhurst. The mountain setting comes complete with a swimming hole and two waterfalls.
Located at beautiful Bass Lake surrounded by mountains, boating and fishing. Big Rig friendly, pull-thru sites, cabins, 30 & 50 campsites with full hookups. Free Wi-Fi, most sites offer cable TV, laundry and store.
Each year from May to September, RV travel planners have access to rustic campgrounds in the Sierra National Forest. The following locations can accommodate trailers and RVs ranging from less than 20' to no more than 35’ in length. Sites do not have electrical hook-ups or sani-dumps, but they all have natural beauty in abundance. Be aware that roads in and out of these campgrounds may be challenging. Some locations may close intermittently due to wildfire damage and/or tree mortality. Important reminder: You must check with the Sierra National Forest for current conditions and seasonal opening dates.
Each unit has a picnic table, pedestal grill, stone fire ring and paved parking spur. Forks Campground provides flush toilets (including ones that meet accessibility standards) and drinking water. The parking spurs here are not large enough to fit boat trailers.

Located adjacent to Bass Lake in a grove of oak, pine and cedar, Spring Cove Campground is well suited for tents and small RVs. Trees provide good shade and each campsite has a picnic table and campfire ring. Drinking water and accessible flush toilets are provided. The facility's short parking spurs are paved and dirt-surfaced. Due to tight turns and configurations, this camp is not suitable for large travel trailers or RVs.

Located adjacent to Bass Lake, Wishon Campground lies at an elevation of 3,400 feet. Dense stands of manzanita, oak, cedar and pine trees, and thick undergrowth provide ample shade and privacy. Some sites at Wishon offer lake views. Each campsite has a picnic table, a stone fire pit and a pedestal grill. Drinking water and flush toilets are provided. Parking spurs are dirt but may be bumpy and difficult to access because of the interior roads. The campground is accessible and campfire wood is available for purchase from the campground host.
Reservations are required. This facility has narrow, bumpy roads. Motorhomes over 24-feet or trailers over 20-feet are not advised.

Very close to Bass Lake and shaded by a grove of Ponderosa pine, fir and cedar trees, Chilkoot Campground offers ample space for RV camping. Chilkoot is named for the creek that runs by the campground. This campground is located at an elevation of approximately 4,600 feet, providing a comfortable camping experience during the hottest days of summer. This rustic campground provides a host and vault toilets but no water. Each unit has a gravel parking spur, picnic table and fire ring.

Located along Granite Creek, Granite Creek Campground has two loops containing 20 campsites. Fir trees provide a good amount of shade at campsites. Horses are not permitted in the lower loop; however, the upper loop of the facility is horse-friendly and offers corrals. The campground provides vault toilets and each site has picnic tables.

Total of 11 sites located on Sand Creek, with a large sandy open area with some shade. Each site has a table and fire ring. Must have a high clearance vehicle to access. Not recommended for large trailers or RVs. Small RVs with high clearance are okay.

Campsites are located on the North Fork of Willow Creek. Sites are accessed via a dirt road, and the road is not maintained for low clearance vehicles. Not recommended for large trailers or RVs. Small RVs with high clearance are okay.

Lone Sequoia Campground is a remote campground on a dirt road, that is free to use. Yes, free! This site has no running water but there is a bathroom. Also, OHV ATVs are popular on the nearby trails. There are six sites open to the public, a nearby small waterfall and an easy hike to, you guessed it, one lone Sequoia Tree. Not recommended for vehicles over 20'. Enjoy and remember - pack it in and pack it out!

Located just 1.5 miles from Yosemite National Park, Summerdale Campground sits in a scenic wildflower-filled meadow, surrounded by fir, cottonwood and cedar trees. The campground's proximity to Yosemite, the excellent fishing at Big Creek and the cooler summer temperatures make it a very popular destination. Summerdale is located in the Highway 41 corridor of the Bass Lake Ranger District, an area known for its giant sequoias. Big Creek, which runs by the campground, is active with the local beaver population. The campground provides a good amount of shade and each campsite has a paved parking spur, picnic table, grill and campfire ring. Vault toilets are available, and water is provided.

Big Sandy Campground is a large sandy flat adjacent to Big Creek. Road access is paved and dirt. The 18 sites have grills, fire rings and tables. Some sites have shade. Drinking water is not provided.

Greys Mountain Campground is located along Willow Creek and can be heavily trafficked. The campground has 26 campsites, provides vault toilets and each site has picnic tables and fire rings. Access to the facility is paved and dirt.

Well-shaded by pine and fir trees, Soquel Campground provides primitive campsites that can accommodate small trailers and tents. The campground consists of two loops on the banks of Willow Creek with sites located along Willow Creek. Each site has a dirt parking spur, picnic table, campfire ring and grill. Vault toilets are provided, but drinking water is not available. Campers must bring their own supply. There is a Campground Host on-site and firewood is sold in the campground.

The Texas Flats group campground has four group areas, Manzanita, White Fir, Red Fir and Cedar. Sites are located on McGilvery Creek can accomodate up to 100 people. Horses are allowed, but no facilities are available. This campground allows equestrian groups. No corrals are available.

Located in a mountainous area at 3,400-foot elevation, Kelty Meadow Campground is a horse-friendly camp shaded by pine and cedar trees alongside Kelty Creek. Campsites are wide and open enough to accommodate small horse trailers, slide-ins, tent trailers, or tents. Campsites are located near Kelty Meadow and some sites have hitching posts, but no corrals. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring and grill. Vault toilets are available. Drinking water is not provided, but a stock water supply is available from the creek. Road access is paved and dirt.

Shaded by cedar and pine trees, Lower Chiquito Campground is a small campground that offers campsites along Chiquito Creek. Each site has a table, grill and fire ring and the campground provides vault toilets. The closest service is Wagner's Store.

Shaded by Lodgepole pine and Fir trees, Clover Meadow Campground is located along Clover Meadow. The campground provides picnic tables and fire rings. The access road is closed in winter and the nearby Clover Meadow Station is also closed seasonally. High Clearance Vehicles Only.

Fish Creek Campground is a small, primitive camp offering seven sites located along Fish Creek. The campground is surrounded by mountains and tucked into a shady spot beneath oaks and pines. Each unit has a picnic table, grill and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided, but campers must bring drinking water. Both paved and dirt roads provide access to the campground. Nearby Mammoth Pool Reservoir offers a variety of recreational activities, including fishing, boating, hiking and wildlife viewing. There are services (store, gasoline, phone) available at Wagner's Resort near Mammoth Pool Reservoir.
Hikers can access the nearby French Trail, a 12.7-mile foot trail that extends from Squaw Dome Trailhead to Logan Meadow Trailhead. Other activities include hunting in designated areas and fishing.

Mammoth Pool Campground is located half a mile from the recreation area at Mammoth Pool Reservoir. This primitive campground winds through a stand of Ponderosa pine and cedar trees along the San Joaquin River in the midst of a mountainous landscape. Campsites are located near Mammoth Pool. Each site has a table, grill and fire ring. Firewood is sold at the campground. There is a trail to the lake and a boat launch nearby. There are no lake view sites or sites on the lake.
Mammoth Pool Campground is located near the Ansel Adams Wilderness, known for its jagged peaks, including 13,157-foot Mt. Ritter, and numerous lakes and streams.

Laid out in a single loop along Chiquito Creek, Sweetwater Campground is shaded by pine, oak and cedar trees. Most sites overlook the creek or a brook that also runs by the campground. The campground attracts visitors primarily for its fishing and swimming holes. Each campsite contains a picnic table, grill and campfire ring. Vault toilets are provided. Campers must bring drinking water. Parking spurs are dirt and paved, but tight turns and trees at the edge of interior roads make this camp most ideal for pop-up tent trailers, slide-ins and tent campers.

Sitting on a large, sandy flat under a grove of oak, pine and cedar trees, Rock Creek Campground is divided into three sections, with Rock Creek running through the middle. One section of the camp sits nearest the access road; the other two sections can be reached via a bridge over Rock Creek. On this side, the largest section is located closest to the swimming holes and rock water slide in the area. Each campsite has a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Parking spurs are paved and dirt-surfaced. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided.
Swimming holes can be found along Rock Creek. Rock Creek Campground is located close to Mammoth Pool Reservoir near the Ansel Adams Wilderness and provides more recreational activities, including fishing, boating and hiking. Yosemite National Park has 13 popular campgrounds, of which up to seven are on a reservation system. From April through September, reservations are essential and even the first-come, first-served campgrounds usually fill by noon (often earlier) from April through September.
