Madera's 13th Annual Pomegranate, Fruit & Nut Festival Welcomes Special Guest Miranda Rae Mayo

Madera, CA, October 21, 2024 — Get ready for a day of fun, flavor, and celebrity appearances at the 13th Annual Madera Pomegranate, Fruit & Nut Festival! Join us on Saturday, November 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Madera District Fairgrounds for a family-friendly celebration featuring a special guest appearance by Miranda Rae Mayo, star of the hit series “Chicago Fire”! Admission and parking is free at this event.

Debi Bray, President and CEO of the Madera Chamber of Commerce, shares her excitement, “We are thrilled to honor Madera’s agricultural roots while showcasing local products, live music, and mouth-watering cuisine. November is National Pomegranate Month, making it the perfect time to celebrate the pomegranate’s rich legacy in our community. We can’t wait for Miranda Rae Mayo to join us for this unforgettable day!”

With over 100 vendors showcasing artisanal crafts and local products, this year’s festival offers something for everyone. For those over the age of 21, indulge in delicious wine tastings from San Joaquin Winery at the Patio Stage. The owner, Cindy Shaffer, will pour their Pomegranate wine, create spritzers, and pair with local vendor products. Dan Riley of Riley’s Brewing will showcase their beers paired with products from local food vendors.

Add some color to your day with a Floral Arrangement Tutorial conducted by Madera South High School, and compete in the annual Pomegranate Opening Contest to see who can access the arils (pomegranate seeds) fastest and with the best technique.
