Bass Lake - Fishing & Bald Eagle

Cast your poles during an early spring fishing expedition on Bass Lake. Named by Sunset Magazine as one of the "West's Best Lakes," you will enjoy crystal clear waters, fresh air and great fishing. 
Locals Tip: Keep an eye on the sky and if you're lucky, you will spot the resident bald eagle soaring overhead searching for a fish of his own. Learn More

Take a Hike

Embark on a hiking adventure in the High Sierra. Here Father son and uncle make their way to Iron Lakes for a bit of weekend fishing and relaxation.  Learn More

Rent a Pontoon Boat & BBQ

Bass Lake Yosemite Triathlon

Join in on one of the most beautiful triathlons around. Triathletes will be treated to a swim in clear mountain waters, followed by a challenging and beautiful ride around the lake and through the Sierra National Forest to finish with a run along the glistening shores of Bass Lake. Learn More

Yosemite - Valley Loop/ Walk 
or Bike

Early spring is the ideal time to witness the awe-inspiring waterfalls of Yosemite at their peak. Take a stroll or hop on a bike and explore the Valley Loop Trail as you enjoy breathtaking views of iconic granite monoliths and waterfalls. Learn More

Earth Day - Celebrations & Junior Ranger Program

Arts/Entertainment - Photography, Dogwoods and Waterfalls

Come mid-May grab your cameras and head to the southern entrance of Yosemite along Highway 41. You'll be surrounded by bright hues of green and dazzling white tree top dogwood flowers as you make your way into the park. Be sure to stop and enjoy the wildflowers filing the meadows. 
Locals Tip: Plan an extra day for a less traveled trail to Chilnualna Falls in Wawona.

History/Museums - Fossil Discovery Center of Madera County
